UC Personal Insight Questions

​The UC application includes eight Personal Insight Questions. First-year applicants choose four questions to answer. Each response has a maximum of 350 words.
There is no single "right" question to choose. Select the four questions that give UC readers the clearest picture of your experiences, interests, accomplishments, challenges, and personal qualities.

Have You Taken a Dual Enrollment Course?

College courses taken while in high school must be reported appropriately on your UC application. This includes Norco College Dual Enrollment courses.
Do not leave a college course off your application simply because it does not appear on your Santiago High School transcript.

After You Apply

​Submitting your application is not the end of the process. Continue checking your email and applicant portals for each UC campus.
Create/check each campus applicant portal
  • Check email regularly
  • Verify that each campus has everything it needs
  • Respond promptly to requests for additional information
  • Complete FAFSA or CADAA
  • Review admission decisions
  • Compare financial aid offers
  • Submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) by the applicable deadline
  • Send your final transcript after graduation
