Mission and Vision Statement

The mission of Santiago High School’s Counseling Department is to provide all students with a strong foundation in the academic, personal/social, and career areas of development.
  • Counselors strive for 100% graduation and prepare students for their post-secondary goals.
  • Counselors provide social emotional support that addresses the needs of our students while encouraging them to become lifelong learners and productive members of society.
  • Data and trends are analyzed to create college and career readiness programs that prepare students to compete in the global market.
  • Counselors advocate academic rigor whether or not students will be entering a university, community college, vocational school, military, or the work force.

Confidentiality Statement

Your confidentiality and privacy as a student is important to us.  What you tell us will never be repeated to others unless you reveal information on harming yourself, harming others, situations of being physically, emotionally, or sexually abused or we are required by the court or legal proceedings to do so.  If there is ever a need to reveal information, we will ensure that you are aware of this and we will work with you to handle the situation in a way that respects you, your feelings, and your needs.
