California State Seal of Biliteracy

The California Department of Education California State Seal of Biliteracy (SSB) is an award placed on a student’s high school diploma and transcript that recognizes students who have demonstrated proficiency in English and at least one other language.
The Seal shows colleges, universities, employers, and scholarship programs that a student is bilingual and biliterate.
